If you are on holiday in Marseille, why not go hiking near the Château Gombert? The walk in the massif de l'Étoile will offer you a panoramic view of Marseille and the Friuli Islands. The scrubland will take you along the way in the visual and fragrant atmosphere of Provence.
To start, bring good shoes and don't forget your bottle of water. At the base of the Ouides, after the pass of the same name, you can find water, but you have to plan for it because parts of the circuit are very steep and the low vegetation does not protect you from the Sun. We strongly advise you to wear walking shoes and use sticks because there are many stony passages. Let's start this hike with the Chemin de Palama. Continuing on the path, you will climb up to a magnificent view of the Friuli islands and Marseille.
To reach the Col des Ouides, the road goes down quite steeply so be careful. The paths are signposted, so you should have no trouble finding your way through the scrubland. At the Col, you can continue towards the Pilon du Roi. Finally, the path will take you back to your starting point 😉
