Les Terrasses du Port is the Mecca of fashion and shopping! But to all those who think the elitist place is expensive, don't get me wrong! In this new kind of shopping center, you will find the low-cost brands that we all know, such as H&M, Bershka or Bata. The Printemps brand is also present as well as an Apple store located on the first floor which will give you a magnificent view of the ocean. The two floors of the Terrasses du Port will allow you to enjoy a break and stroll through the boutiques before returning to visit Marseille. Even better, the diversity of shop styles is the great strength of the shopping centre. There are still very little known brands in France and Marseille such as Uniqlo or Bluelobster. Concept stores, also very rare in traditional shopping centres, have opened their doors, such as the much-loved Citadium, "the place to be" by hipsters, geeks and other fans of the "urban - trendy" style.

Where to eat at the Terrasses du Port?

Whether you want to eat Japanese, a burger, Asian, pasta or just eat on the go, you will always find a place that will satisfy your appetite. Most of the restaurants on the first floor have a particularly pleasant sea view when the weather is fine. Facing the sea, the ballet of the cruise ships creates pleasant visual entertainment, the screams of the seagulls and the blazing sun complete the picture. A very appreciable point: a sufficient number of small inclined chairs have been placed for sunbathing.
And for a snack, you can fall for ice cream, chocolates, sweets or even coffee from Starbucks.
You may not have known it, but in the evening, the roof of the shopping center becomes a particularly popular 3,000 m2 roof top. With the arrival of good weather, from May to September, the roof top becomes the favourite place for Marseille evenings. It offers a breathtaking view of the port and the bay of Marseille. You can drink a cocktail or a glass of rosé (always with moderation) in one of the bars, while watching the sunset on the horizon.

An ecologically oriented approach
The construction of the Terrasses du Port is part of a global eco-construction approach that respects the "Grenelle de l'environnement". This initiative was rewarded during its design with the BREEAM Environmental Certification Excellent Level. In June 2015, the National Council of Shopping Centers awarded the prize for the best creation of a shopping center to the Terrasses du Port! The selection committee praised the "architectural audacity and accessibility" of the Marseille shopping center.
In addition, the shopping center's 2,600-space car park is equipped with electric car refills and carpooling spaces. Outside, an ecological garden and photovoltaic panels have been set up to complete this ecological approach. And to continue in an ecological and playful spirit, why not think about renting a segway to go back to the Old Port?
