La Couronne
A seaside village on the Côte Bleue attached to the municipality of Martigues, La Couronne is highly appreciated for its beaches. The beautiful sandy beaches are considered as the " pearls of the Blue Coast ". Easily accessible, equipped and secured, they are ideal for families. A naturist beach is reserved for members of the French Naturism Federation.
Clear, the bathing waters have been awarded with the Blue Flag beach for several years.
Verdon beach is reputed to be the most beautiful beach in Martigues region. In the cove of Verdon, this 350-metre sandy beach is the meeting place for families. Everything has been planned to welcome them. Starting with the parking, a large ( and paying) parking lot is available. On site, you will find everything you need for your comfort on the beaches. Restaurants, lawns, beach volleyball courts... Note that the beach is supervised throughout the summer season and has access for people with reduced mobility.
La Couronne Vieille beach is next to La Couronne lighthouse, in a small cove that is also easily accessible and sheltered from the winds. It has a parking lot.
The Crown offers everything you can expect from a seaside resort, just 30 kilometres from Marseille.
